 Kat May 2

Kat came to the studio in May 2013 to record and film a video for her track called ‘Fall’

She was introduced to me by a very good friend of mine, Ron Yeadon, who was directing and filming her at the time. I had never heard about Kat before and I was very looking forward to that session, especially when Ron said “she is good” !!!

With her charming smile and typical artistic clumsiness we hooked up her setup and along with Ivelina Dusheva on Cello and Djib Morice doing backing vocals we started tracking and filming.

I was instantly hooked by her sound and what seemed to be a very melancholy mood accompanied by a very gritty synth (at least I thought so, could have been the fact it was hitting the converters to hard but hey…;-))

We never looked back since and after spending 6 months in the studio everyday, her debut album came out last year. I Co- Produced it with Kat, tracked and mixed it. I even play a bit of Bass and guitar, possibly some percussion…

It was a journey I will never forget and I am super proud of the album – Beyond The North Wind.

These days we are working on other productions… great things are brewing, more to come soon.

In the meantime, Like her on Facebook…  https://www.facebook.com/I.am.Kat.May/
